In the previous period, we have continued to demonstrate solidarity with the people affected by the earthquake in Croatia and to donate for assistance and support.

Here you will read about the initiatives that companies, citizens and the youngest members of the community have organized to help the people in Croatia who were affected by the earthquake.

Initiative ‘Children to Children’ gathered around 8,000 items

Humanitarian women from Montenegro, gathered in a Facebook group called Devet dobrih žena (Nine good women), launched the initiative ‘Children to Children’ for the purpose of collecting school material, children’s toys and other things to entertain the children living in the Croatian cities that were hit by the devastating earthquake. According to portalanalitika.me, they collected more than 150 gifts which included over 8,000 items.

The gifts are already on their way to Petrinja, Glina and Sisak.

The initiative was so successful owing to the support of numerous citizens from Montenegro and abroad, as well as the Volunteer Club of the Podgorica High School and singer Sergej Ćetković, who contributed to the promotion of the initiative.

This was not the first initiative organized by these humanitarian women of Podgorica – recently, they have also organized an action of gathering New Year gifts for children hospitalized at the Institute for Children's Diseases. More than 350 gifts were gathered within this initiative called ‘Make a Wish’.

Donate computers for students from affected areas

IDE3 IT has launched a project called Kompići, with the aim of collecting at least 200 computers and other equipment for schools and students that applied for new means of work, as they lost theirs in the earthquake.

If you have computers, monitor, keyboards or mouses that you do not use, you can donate them to Kompići, and they will distribute them to the students in need. You can also donate used projectors, printers, laptops and other IT equipment. If you wish to buy and donate new devices, just contact Kompići.

The organizers of the initiative note that the devices must not be more than five years old, should support new operating systems and should be dusted and cleaned.

Everyone who needs a donation can also apply at the website Kompići.
