Regional enterprises change their practices more and more in order show the importance of the cooperation between companies and non-profit organizations. Nestro group is one of the examples – not that long ago, they signed the contract about donations with three organizations in Bosnia and Herzegovina - The Union of Associations for help to mentally disabled persons in Republika Srpska „MeNeRaLi“ and two charity organizations „Let’s be human“ and „For Modriča with all heart“.

NESTRO group which consists of OPTIMA group, Oil refinery Brod, Oil refinery Modriča and NESTRO petrol, decided to take this step because of the huge number of requests for financial support.

NESTRO group develops a partnership with these non-profit organizations because they believe that they can handle the needs of the community in an efficient way, in order to invest the money in the smartest way possible and to realize the biggest impact on the common good. Company and organizations will try to resolve together the problems of socially disadvantaged groups in a systematic way. They will focus on the realization of projects in the domain of ecology, youth and sports development and support to charitable organizations that work in these fields.

„Our slogan „We create healthy habits“ has become recognisable during last two years thanks to numerous activities we supported and today we enclosed in the widest way possible – by signing the contract with charity organizations with whom we will, systematically, help and donate to those in need“, said Andrej Notinger, the director of Optima group.

Radomir Radmilović, the president of Board of the „MeNeRaLi“, expressed his content that this time it was the donor who contacted the organization in order to offer them help: „It’s usually up to us to look for help but this time it was OPTIMA group that offered it first. This proves not only that the company is socially responsible but that they are willing to offer help on their own.“

The beginning of strategic giving of NESTRO group is important because it contributes to the development of corporate giving with the long-term aftermath. One of the ways that we can estimate the state of philanthropy in a country is exactly the number of long-term, strategic donations out of the total number of giving – in 2016, strategical donations made 40,7% of all corporate giving.
