The traditional ball which BELhospice center organized for the 9th time on 1st December in the hotel Hyatt Regency Belgrade, a total of EUR 74,000 was raised for the support of oncology patients and their families. These funds will be used to continue providing free palliative care services, in over 1,000 house visits as well as in the Daily center of the first hospice in Serbia.

Around 300 members of the diplomatic core and corporate sector as well as individual philanthropists attended the ball, and the evening was hosted by Nina Radulović and Dejan Pantelić. The evening was completed by performances from Snežana Savičić Sekulić, National Theatre Opera soloist, the pianist Hrvoje Ivović, Habanera quartet, as well as dancers Katarina Gromilić, Bojana Žegarac, Olga Olćan, Igor Pastor, Milan Rus and Milan Gromilić.

The director of BELhospice Vera Madžgalj presented this year’s results as well as plans for the upcoming period. She reminded the gathering that thanks to generous donations, the first Hospice center opened its doors in Belgrade. Apart from palliative care of oncological patients in Belgrade, this is a place where they and their families can also get the highest quality service. She invited all good-hearted people to keep supporting the work of this uniqe organization in Serbia, which has this noble and much needed mission.
