The food industry Klas from Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina), on the occasion of the World Food Day, celebrated on October 16, donated 2t of flour to the meal center of the Red Cross Sarajevo kanton and Collective Center in Hrasnica, while the children from Collective Center received sweets as well. The goods were handed by players from football clubs Železničar and Sarajevo.

Red Cross' meal center in Sarajevo daily prepares about 1,650 meals. In Collective Center in Hrasnica, currently live 21 families with 9 children under the age of 15. The beneficiaries of both institutions live in a difficult material and financial situation and, as they say, Klas' donation will be very important to them in the upcoming winter season.

World Food Day has been celebrated since 1979 and was established by the member countries of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization. Marking World Food Day is the opportunity to point out the importance of achieving the goal of sustainable development – without hunger until 2030. Besides the stated goal, activities are focused on informing and acquiring knowledge, forming correct attitudes and behaviors related to health and proper habits in the nutrition of the widest population, especially children and young people.
