Companies in Serbia decide more and more to direct their charity investments into local communities where they work. According to Catalyst repport on philathropy in Serbia in 2017, 21.4% of charity porjects were dedicated to local communities. One of the ways to do it is through calls for proposals, just as CRH does it in Paraćin.
This year, CRH organized call for participation in project called „Partnership for the future“. Forty- five non-profit organizations and institutions from Paraćin applied for this project, in the period between March 1st and April 30. The total of funds is EUR 30,000 and according to the results published on May 30, 10 organizations were rewarded with EUR 3,000 each, for the projects in domains of education, culture, sports and sustainable development.
Among ten winners fo the call, there are five associations: UNEKOOP, Center for Development of Entrepreneurship and Innovations „Smart Connections“, Media Center Pomoravlje, Radio Club „Kosmos“, Union of the Blind of Serbia – Organization of Communion of Paraćin; four institutions: Tourist Organization of Paraćin and „Stevan Jakovljević“ elementary school; and one syndicate – Independent Syndicate of Police – Paraćin Trade Union.
