In the previous months, most donations in the region were directed at providing support to communities in the fight against the negative effects of COVID-19. The same trend continued last week.

Human Rights Committee Vranje donates medical equipment to Special Hospital for Lung Diseases Surdulica

Human Rights Committee Vranje representatives handed over the first part of the donation to the medical staff of the Special Hospital for Lung Diseases in Surdulica, meant to help in treating COVID patients.

The donation included 11 oximeters, 11 contactless thermometers, and 30 digital thermometers. The hospital will also receive an ECG machine as soon as the procurement is finished.

With the support of the community, the resources needed to buy the medical equipment were raised in a crowdfunding campaign on our platform Donacije.rs.

Human Rights Committee Vranje also noted that Group 484 and the Norwegian Embassy contributed significantly to the campaign by doubling each donation up to 120.000 RSD.

Diaspora donated for the health care system in Prijepolje

The Association Bosna - Sandžak from Turkey donated 30.000 Euros to support the health care system in Prijepolje.

The donation included surgical masks, cleaning supplies, medical and non-medical equipment.

However, this is not the first time diaspora delivered help to Prijepolje since the crisis began. Even during the first wave, the Turkish-Serbian Business Association responded by providing the support necessary at that time.

The hospital in Šabac received a portable X-ray machine

Last month, the General Hospital Laza K. Lazarevic in Šabac received a donation of 7.504.800 RSD from the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany. This donation was part of a wider initiative led by the B92 Fund aimed at helping Serbian health care institutions in the COVID-19 system.

B92 Fund mapped the institution's needs and purchased on the donor's behalf a mobile digital X-ray machine.

The portable radiographic device will allow the medical staff to perform X-rays of patients that are difficult to transport to be scanned on stationary machines. In the future, the machine will be used to diagnose patients admitted to intensive care units, and for performing X-ray scans during surgery.

Mozzart distributes packages of bottled water to COVID field hospital at Štark Arena

Patients infected with COVID-19 need additional hydration, which is why Mozzart company decided to donate water to patients and medical staff currently staying at the COVID field hospital at Štark Arena.

However, this is not the first time Mozzart provided support for the Serbian health care system. Since the beginning of the pandemic, the company distributed a total of 600.000 Euros worth of donations to medical institutions.

Porto Montenegro donates 13.000 euros to Tivat Health Centre for the purchase of antigen tests

Porto Montenegro has provided for the Tivat Health Centre a donation for the purchase of antigen tests on COVID-19 worth 13,000 Euros.

The donation will enable the ministry to procure 1.000 new tests and help control the spread of the COVID-19 in the local community.

The Municipality of Tivat and the Tivat Health Centre called for all donors to support the procurement of rapid antigen tests and other missing medical and protective equipment. Donations can be made via Tivat Health Centre bank account in NLB bank, account number 530-26315-26.

Germania sport provides support for medical staff in Vinkovci and Zadar

After doing the same in Osijek, Rijeka, Čakovec, Bjelovar, Split, and Zagreb, Germania sport provided support for doctors and medical staff in Vinkovci and Zadar.

As part of the wider initiative, Germania Sport donated fresh fruit and juice worth 400.000 KN to 9 medical institutions in cities where the company operates. The initiative aims to help medical workers on the front lines and show appreciation for their efforts.

Prevent Group supports health care institutions in BH

A few days ago, Prevent Travnik donated protective masks and suits to the Cantonal Hospital Travnik.

The Hospital Director prim. Dr. Mirsad Granov thanked the company for providing the hospital with continual support, even in these difficult times.

Apart from this donation, since the beginning of the pandemic, Prevent has repeatedly supplied clinical centers, hospitals, and health care facilities across BH with needed medical equipment.
