The aim of the competition “We’re Celebrating Philanthropy” (“Slavimo filantropiju”) is to support local associations and foundations in their attempts to promote philanthropy, giving culture and transparency in the local community, as well as to develop philanthropic giving , intersectoral partnerships at the local level, and raise transparency and level of trust for civil society organizations. Applications can be sent by 20th January.  

The program offers the possibility for foundations to run their local campaigns which promote philanthropy, encourage giving, raise transparency and trust, and especially those campaigns which include a larger number of citizens, especially students and young people.

The campaigns ought to provide solutions for one of the problems/challenges identified in the public opinion survey which Trag foundation conducted in October 2018.

What does program participation entail?

The approved campaigns must be run in February and March of 2019, and the organizations can get up to around EUR 1,800 (RSD 200,000) for their realization. The project is exempt from VAT payment, pursuant to an interstate agreement.

Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation can approve a lower amount of funds than requested, and can subsequently ask applicants to amend their budget.

Who can apply?

Associations and foundations with headquarters registered in Serbia have the right to apply. Priority will be given to those located outside central Belgrade municipalities

Who will not be supported:

  • Projects of political parties;
  • Projects which encourage any kind of violence and discrimination and promote alcohol, drugs or an unhealthy lifestyle;
  • Projects with a primary aim that is other than promoting the culture of giving;
  • Projects which are not focused on a specific local community or county;
  • Projects which are exclusively focused on the development of web sites, mobile applications, purchases etc.

To take part in the program the association/foundation needs to fill out the application form available at and send it by filling out this online form, alongside any additional documents required.
