Active Citizenship Fund awarded organizations, associations and individuals for their contribution to civil society development.

  • Award for the contribution at the national level went to socially responsible company Cerovo doo from Bar, Montenegro. In the last 14 months, this company donated more than EUR100,000 for renovation of schools and kindergartens in Montenegro.
  • Award for contribution to local community went to Commercial club Cetinje which raised over EUR70,000 during the past year for community development.
  • Award for diaspora contribution went to Cultural Center Rumija from Chicago, a Montenegrin association from the USA. They have donated USD186,000 just during the past 12 months.
  • Award for lifework (posthumous award) Lidija Jovanović who was the holder of the Partisan honors, the founder of the Antifascist Front of Women of Montenegro, and a member of the Montenegrin Assembly. She devoted her life to the emancipation of women, care for war orphans, children with disabilities and youth education.
  • Special recognition for contribution to local community went to Nikšićki Mlin which supported schools, sports and numerous families in need.
  • Special recognition for diaspora contribution went to Euro Gusinje from New York. In the past year, they have raised USD47,000 for the treatment of one young man, about USD30,000 for the construction of a home and the treatment of Sefketa Jarović, and USD19,000 for the renovation of bridges on Alipaša's spring.·       
  • Special awards for civic contribution to the common good went to:

Banka hrane – for their volunteer and charitable work,
Fenix (Association of parents whose children suffer from cancer) - for commitment and perseverance in fundraising,,
Zoran Vukčević – for humanity and solidarity,
Primary school “Njegoš” – for philanthropy development.
