Down Syndrome Association Kosovo (DSK) is a nonprofit organization, with the status of Association, established on March 4, 2007 by parents of people with Down syndrome. DSK is a national community organization with services in four regional areas of the country: Prishtina, Mitrovica, Prizren and Ferizaj. The constitution of DSK counts over 980 families of members of the community of people with Down syndrome and in general of people with disabilities.
Their goals are equal opportunities in society with full respect for human rights and human diversity for every person with Down Syndrome. The Association also contributes towards improving their standard of living and the general development of persons affected with Down syndrome. DSK is focused on working directly with children with Down Syndrome, providing training for parents, teachers, and doctors.
In March 2021, Down Syndrome Kosova Association, in order to support DSK programs in providing therapeutic services for children with Down syndrome, organized the activity A postcard for Grandparents, where all students during this activity had the opportunity to buy a handmade postcard, prepared by people with Down syndrome, for grandparents and their loved ones.
By purchasing postcards during the campaign, schools along with students and their parents have contributed to the sustainability of DSK programs.
According to the Giving Balkans app data, the total of € 15,415 was collected from the sale of the postcards.
DSK is committed to the protection and realization of the rights of persons with Down syndrome, and is a full member of Down Syndrome International (DSI), European Down Syndrome Association (EDSA), Down Syndrome Interest Medical Group (DSIMG), Caravan, member of the European Association of Services for Persons with Disabilities (EASPD) and; Co-founder and member of the Kosovo Forum of People with Disabilities, co-founder of the coalition of NGOs for civic initiatives - CMB and FDI, co-founder of the Coalition for Inclusive Education of Kosovo - KAGJK, partnership cooperation with the Rehabilitation and Training Center - Down Syndrome Centar Pula, Partnership with Down Syndrome Association of UK, etc.

The campaign deals with what is needed for a good society, how it is built, and whether it is the state's responsibility, media's, companies, civil organizations, or all of us.
