Citizens and companies in Kosovo donated over 3.45 million euros for the common good in 2022. The report on the state of philanthropy in the country, titled "Giving Kosovo 2022," was published as part of the Civic Engagement Program (CEA) and showed that the mentioned amount was registered through 920 acts of philanthropy actions, representing a 33% annual increase compared to donations registered in 2021.

The report indicates that the main focus of these donations was to support initiatives aimed at reducing poverty, accounting for 55.9% of all donations. Other major areas of philanthropic efforts during 2022 were healthcare support (10.5%), support to marginalized groups (9.2%), and education (8.5%).

Regarding the types of donors, the report findings show that 63.3% of the donations registered in 2022 were from individuals, while 20.2% came from the corporate sector. Donations from the diaspora accounted for 18.3% of all contributions. Meanwhile, civil society organizations (CSOs) were identified as the most common beneficiaries, receiving 53.6% of the total amount.

Geographically, most of the philanthropy actions (35%) were directed to the Prizren region, marking a change from previous years where Pristina had received the most support. Mitrovica was the second region with the highest support (25.4%), followed by Pristina (20.7%).
